Cheshire’s Favourite Baby Friendly Cafe

Cheshire’s Favourite Baby Friendly Cafe

Stuck for places to visit in Cheshire with your little one? Not to worry, we’re here to help. If you’re on parental leave with your newborn or if you fancy some respite with your toddler, we welcome all tiny tots at G&P Byley.

When we first opened Ginger and Pickles back in 2005, our first port of call was to create a child friendly space, somewhere you and your child will feel completely welcome and at home. Owner Bev was stuck for places to visit in Cheshire where not only would her children feel comfortable but the quality of food was also high and homemade. We’ve taken this through till present day, our Byley tearoom being our most popular stop for all things parental leave. There are plenty of things to do with you and your child, we’re delighted to talk you through them.

1. Baby friendly facilities

As the tearoom is such an open space we’ve got plenty of room for prams and pushchairs. Get cosy in our outdoor area with heat lamps or if you’re lucky with the weather, soak up the sun on our picnic benches whilst your child dives into our yummy children’s menu! Rest assured, we also have baby changing facilities in our toilets. Our baby friendly facilities include:

  • Microwave and hot water jugs for warming bottles (just ask a member of the team!)
  • Breastfeeding always welcome at all G&P tearooms
  • High chairs available
  • Children’s menu
  • Plenty of space for pushchairs (outside & in)
  • Baby changing

2. Tasty children's menu

Our special little Children’s Menu offers a range of exciting breakfast, brunch and lunch items, including a children’s afternoon tea (how cute). With child friendly pictures next to each item, it’s easy for your little ones to pick their favourite treat on the menu.

3. We're on a farm!

Did you know our Byley tearoom was located on Lowe’s Farm? With Lowe’s Farm Shop directly next to us, you can grab local meats, groceries, freshly grown veggies from the fields directly next to the shop and more whilst you visit us. You can even pay the pygmy goats and horses a visit in summer, they love to say hello!

If you’ve just remembered it’s your friend’s birthday tomorrow and you haven’t picked up a card yet, not to worry! You can pop into Gifted for all your gift needs. If you fancy refreshing your garden and getting the kids to show off their green fingers, pay the garden center a visit and take some pretty plants home for your garden.
